There's a lot to cover in this month's newsletter, as the club has a lot going on this time of year, as usual.   The 2006 Rodbenders Classic was held on Friday, October 27th at Stillhouse Hollow Lake.   Nine brave souls stuck it out in 35 plus mph North wind to lay it out there and aim for the big prizes.  Mike Millender was crowned 2006 Classic Champion with his 5 fish limit (only one of the day) of 10.75 pounds!   He also had the big bass of the day with a 3.56 pound hawg.   Congratulations Mike!   Coming in second place was Jason Hill, with 4 nice fish at 8.27 pounds.  Third place in the Classic went to Tony South with 4 fish at 7.65 pounds.   In fourth place was James Cannon with three fish at 5.82 pounds.   Rounding out the top five was John Duhon with 1 fish at 1.61 pounds.   Congratulations to all the winners for a great classic and a fine season!

 The wind decided to give the club a break for the November tournament, also held on Stillhouse Hollow, the day after the Classic.     It was still out of the North somewhat, then shifted to the Southwest.   Thirteen competitors brought in 26 fish weighing in 44.58 pounds, a 1.71 pound average.   John Duhon and  James Cannon  got into some of Millender's leftovers and put enough in the boat for a first place finish.   They brought 8 fish to the scale at 14.18 pounds.  Coming in a respectable second place was the team of Tim Hall and Jerry Vaughan with 6 fish at 10.99 pounds.  Third place went to Jeff Cade and Tony South with 6 fish at 9.22 pounds.   Big bass of the event was Tim Hall with a 3.75 pound hawg.   Honorable mention big bass goes to Jason Hill, who caught a sweet 2.75 pound smallmouth.  Thanks to everyone for participating and congratulations to the winners.
