Attached are the results after the January 3rd tournament at Lake Fork. A warming spell leading up to the tournament allowed some of the surface temps to get into the upper 50s in some coves. The wind was the only obstacle that may have kept some anglers from fishing their favorite spots. Seven boats participated in this paper event. A total of 25 fish were weighed in for a total of 85.20 pounds, a 3.41 lb average. First place went to Steve Kralik with an impressive 5 fish, 20.93 pound stringer. In second place was John Duhon with a nice 4 fish, 16.69 pound sack. Third place went to Mike Millender, who almost was able to bring in an over 24" fish! Mike had a 23.5" hawg that won big bass at 9.48 pounds! This was the better half of his two fish 11.61 pound third place stringer. Martin Kralik brought in the fourth place stringer with 2 fish at 9.49 pounds. Mike's big bass unfortunately by rule could not bump Ed Bossle from the Big Bass of the Year throne, a 5.10 pound Lake Winnsboro hawg. We also would like to welcome back from a long absence Mr Dan Harris, who quit killing Texas whitetails long enough to wet a line with us! Welcome back, Dan! |
